Lumen Insurance Team Building in Cyprus: Building Stronger Teams Together

Three days, hundreds of LEGO bricks and one shared goal: to build stronger connections and explore how we can work even better together.

The P&M family — Prodromou & Makriyiannis, TopQuotes Insurance and Status Insurance — recently came together at Droushia Heights Hotel in Cyprus for an engaging three-day team-building experience centred around LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, facilitated by Knowledge Training & Consulting.

For Lumen Insurance, team building is about more than simply spending time together. It is an opportunity to strengthen communication, build trust and create a better understanding of how colleagues can support one another and work effectively as a team.

Building communication and collaboration with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology uses hands-on building and storytelling to help participants explore ideas, perspectives and challenges in a different way. Rather than relying solely on traditional discussion, participants build models to represent their thoughts and then share the meaning behind what they have created. This approach is designed to encourage participation, communication and collaborative thinking.

Throughout the three-day offsite, colleagues had the opportunity to explore important themes including trust, communication and support. The sessions encouraged honest conversations, active listening and a deeper understanding of how different perspectives can contribute to a stronger team.

Of course, it wasn’t all serious work. There were plenty of laughs, creative moments and opportunities to connect outside the usual working environment.

From LEGO bricks to lasting team connections

Held at the beautiful Droushia Heights Hotel, overlooking the Mediterranean and the surrounding highlands of north-western Cyprus, the offsite provided the perfect setting to step away from the everyday routine and focus on team development.

The experience concluded with a boat trip across the Akamas, giving everyone the chance to relax, enjoy the surroundings and celebrate the connections built during the three days.
